Icon - Anastasis - Wood

Old, Greek icon "The Resurrection of Christ" from the 20th century.

The icon has been completely handmade on a wooden panel, according to old methods of icon painting. This is a copy of the icon, or a work of contemporary art (see certificate on the back of the icon).

The icon is painted with egg tempera and gold.

A truly striking and exceptional icon with very detailed painting and many additional details (two more saints around Christ).

Perfectly coordinated color contrasts and successful shading. Particularly striking are the faces and garments of the saints.

The icon is labeled. The inscription is clearly legible. The icon is in good condition with typical age-related signs of wear (see photos).

There are very beautiful and authentic age-related craquelure on the icon (see photos). Heavy and sturdy wooden panel.

A unique icon from the past century.

All details are clearly visible in the photos. Photos are part of the description.
