Icon - Christ on the Throne - Wood

Old, Greek icon "Christ on the Throne" from the 20th century.

The icon was entirely handmade on a wooden panel, according to old methods of icon painting. This is a copy of the icon (see certificate on the back of the icon).

A really striking and extraordinary icon with a very detailed depiction and many additional details (two more saints around Christ).

Perfectly coordinated color contrasts and well-executed shading. The faces and garments of the saints are particularly striking.

The saints are inscribed. The inscriptions are legible. The icon is in good condition with typical, age-related signs of wear (see photos).

On the icon there are very beautiful and authentic age-related craquelure present (see photos). Heavy and sturdy wooden panel.

A unique icon from the past century.

All details are clearly visible in the photos. Photos are part of the description.
