Platinum ring in Art Nouveau style set with a non‑heated, 6.41 carat Ceylon sapphire as the main stone and 32 natural diamonds totaling 0.24 carats around it, with a total stone weight of 6.65 carats and size EU 54 (US 6 ¾).
Description from the seller
Wonderful antique platinum solitaire ring, unheated 6.41-carat Ceylon sapphire and natural diamonds 0.24 carats.
No Reserve
1920s Art Nouveau / Art Deco period
Delivered in its adorable old case covered in celadon marbled paper, velvet and silk lining, with a lid signed M Moulière, A. Leroux Successeur, Le Mans
The centerpiece of this ring: its sublime and imposing unheated white Ceylon sapphire, 11.6 mm in diameter (6.41 carats), accompanied by its certificate from the French Gemological Laboratory No. 410015
The crystal is transparent to the naked eye
Under magnification, one can discern tiny inclusions characteristic of Ceylon sapphires: glittering rutile needles, butterfly wings (visible in the photos)
Its brilliant cut gives it a diamond-like appearance
Its slight doubling effect lends it a unique charm
Its white color slightly shifts toward blue or gray depending on the lighting atmosphere, so one could almost say it has moods throughout the day, giving it a very lively personality
An exceptional sapphire deserved a royal setting...
It is set high on an openworked crown that allows light to enter, reflect off its internal facets, and then diffuse generously outward
The crown is pavé-set with 24 small old-cut diamonds
These are not roses, but cute little old-cut diamonds, with a rounded shape
Eight more can be found on the ring shoulders
Diameters 1 mm and 1.5 mm
Total weight approximately 0.24 carats
Quality estimated at G-H / VS-SI
Ring decorated with a small groove
Reverses with a pierced design
Dazzling ring that marries luxury and sobriety perfectly
Its elegance rests on the accuracy of its proportions and its simplicity, far from excess and discomfort
Finger size 54 - 6 3/4 - 17.2 mm
Weight 4.27 g
Carat stamp with a dog head for platinum
By jewelry tradition, platinum, a metal with a more matte appearance than 18K white gold, is used for exclusive stones to enhance their brilliance and sparkle
Fast and careful shipping by insured, tracked parcel
