Chinese pale celadon nephrite jade pendant gourd and bat –China- early 20th Century
On offer is an antique pale celadon nephrite jade pendant carved in the Chinese taste! The open work carving consists of a larger and smaller gourd with leaves and a bat under the biggest gourd. The carving has been executed in very good quality. This pendant has an old cord for hanging. The pendant has a beautiful shine from age. Jade pendants of this age are very hard to find!
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. a Valuable and rare jade, very suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
