The work establishes a visual dialogue through color contrast, depth and the serenity conveyed by the blue off-shoulder dress, which harmoniously contrasts with the vibrant intensity of the background. It is a visual metaphor of the balance between inner calm and vital impulse. The floral bursts and warm tones enveloping the figure act as a halo of creative energy and expansion. Vida AMReyes. 1991 discovered from a very young age that drawing was not just a pastime but a way to translate the world. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts. There she consolidated an exceptional technique in oil painting, acrylics and life drawing, foundations that later would shape her conceptual signature.
Her early career years were spent amid the Cuban cultural effervescence, actively participating in young artists' salons and group exhibitions. Her work quickly stood out: in salons and exhibitions winning numerous prizes and mentions.
AMReyes's work is distinguished by a visceral and imposing realism that seizes the eye at once. However, her proposal does not stop at mere photographic mimesis. On a rigorously worked anatomy or faces charged with deep psychographic expressiveness, the artist overlays and integrates icons, allegories and conceptual elements: wings that seem invisible to the bearer, suspended threads, blocks of dense color or garments laden with symbolism. For her, the human body and the everyday figure are the perfect canvas to reflect on identity.
This fusion between technical mastery and symbolic narrative opened the way to her international projection. Over the last decade, her pieces have been acquired by private collectors and galleries in:
