Val Saint Lambert - Figurine - Katherine De Sousa (2) - Crystal

Two delightful dove figurines designed by Katherine de Sousa (often wrongly read as "De Sorrs") and made in Belgium by Val Saint Lambert using an intricate studio crafting technique. A mother dove keeping an eye on her young. The clear crystal adds a touch of elegance to the decorative piece, while the American Directoire style and bird theme give it a unique charm. Katherine worked with top international crystal companies in America, France, Japan as well as Val Saint Lambert in Belgium.
Val Saint Lambert products are made of crystal with a lead content of approximately 33-40% instead of the legally determined 24%. This extra lead content gives the piece a gorgeous brilliance and clarity.

Both figurines are signed on the base "Val St. Lambert" "De Sousa" (the baby dove has an extra Val Saint Lambert sticker). Both are in near MINT condition with only very slight scratching on the base due to movement.
The mother dove measures 10 cm. high, the small version 6.5 cm. These lovely figurines will add a touch of timeless beauty to a glass or crystal collection and will be a talking point in any interior.
