A Very thick and heavy Chinese white nephrite jade pendant –China- 20th Century
On offer is a large and thick Chinese white nephrite jade pendant with carvings at the front and back side in the (Archaic) Chinese taste. This remarkable pendant is of high quality and has been crafted in Chinese taste with superb engravings. Let yourself be convinced by checking out the many photos that show every carved detail of this masterpiece, such as the 2 Archaic chilongs or baby dragons, bamboo and ducks in a window, a rustic landscape, and a larger window with a branch with plum blossom. Please note the characters for blessings like “Jixiang” for auspicious, lucky propitious and “fu” for blessing, good fortune, happiness and luck! Very hard to find!
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Provenance: This excellent and rare jade pendant comes from our own collection and has been acquired a number of years ago in China at a local market at Jiangsu province, China. a Very valuable and rare jade, very suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! *Material/color: Pale white nephrite jade with cloudy structures, slightly treated in color (fill), but without visible impurities.
*Origin/provenance: China, Jiangsu province.
*Weight: 132 gram including the small rope. Estimate jade weight 129 gram or 645 Carat.
*Hardness: No scratching possible, with hardened steel scratch pen.
*UV/ bright light check: Minimal color (fill) treatment according UV check.
*Dating: Second half of 20th Century.
*Size (approx.): 80 mm (length) * 48 mm (width) * 12 mm (thick).
*Condition: Very fine condition, no damage.
