Description from the seller
A carved three-legged chair in the style of Spanish Brutalism – wood and natural leather. 20th century.
Original, rustic chair with a distinctive, sculptural form, made of solid wood. The piece is notable for its massive construction, irregularly finished edges, and decorative details evoking traditional folk craftsmanship.
The chair features three solid, slightly splayed legs with a manually finished surface and distinctive oval indentations. The seat and tall, sculpted backrest are adorned with light inserts of natural hair-on leather, mounted with decorative metal nails. The contrast between dark wood and light leather emphasizes the strong character of the piece.
The chair's form recalls rustic Spanish furniture and the brutalist aesthetic, where natural materials, pronounced texture, and sculptural form play a central role. The piece could serve as an interesting decorative accent in a rustic, eclectic, chalet-style interior or in a space inspired by folk art design.
