David Law, Prince III - Format XL 60x60, a mixed-media Pop art work from France, created in 2026, edition 1/8 signed on the plate, measuring 60 cm by 60 cm and weighing 2 kg.
Description from the seller
Special Crypto Rock Series - Reconstruction of a photo using photographs of the represented artist.
Artist Photographer – Creator of contemporary imagery
Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on the gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop-window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave rise to an art book published in 2021. Later drawn to the distinctive aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost lifelike presence, challenging our relationship with illusion and projection.
New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A fresh reading of cultural icons
The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary reinterpretation of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it unveils a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject depicted. The creative process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Extensive work is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner.
Edition & Fabrication
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist's proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated rear mount. Printed on luminous white vinyl, laminated between two aluminum panels, with a flexible UV- and humidity-resistant laminate, ensuring excellent durability, long-term color stability and a modern, contemporary appearance.
Parcours
Since 2014, David Law participates in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the appointed photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual work, he develops an authorial and musical practice including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
