David Law presents Hendrix III - Format XL 60x60, a 60 × 60 cm signed mixed-media artwork on aluminium with vinyl, from an edition of 8 plus 4 artist proofs, created in 2026 and depicting Culture Pop, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Special Series Crypto Rock - Reconstitution of a photo using photographs of the depicted artist.
Artist Photographer – Creator of contemporary images
A multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made his name with a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Subsequently intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost lifelike presence, challenging our relationship to illusion and projection.
New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons
The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From a distance, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it reveals a richness of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave”, evoking the artist's subject’s artistic universe. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. A thorough effort is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created originally and independently.
Edition & Fabrication
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist's proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with integrated rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability and a modern, contemporary look.
Parcours
Since 2014, David Law has participated in about twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the designated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops authorial work and music including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
