Description from the seller

EU-based professional seller — no import taxes for EU buyers.

Get your hands on this serviced Sinn 103 hand-wound pilot’s chronograph with Valjoux 7760 movement, black tritium dial, original acrylic crystal, signed Sinn buckle and 3-month guarantee.

Model History:

Founded in Frankfurt in 1961 by pilot and flight instructor Helmut Sinn, Sinn Spezialuhren became particularly well known for functional cockpit instruments and pilot’s chronographs. The 103 developed into one of the company’s most recognisable and enduring model families.

This less commonly encountered hand-wound version dates from approximately 1990 and is powered by the Valjoux calibre 7760. It retains the characteristic instrument-style design of the 103, with a highly legible black dial, three chronograph registers, day-date display, rotating timing bezel and acrylic crystal.

Condition:

The watch is presented in attractive vintage condition and retains the purposeful appearance associated with Sinn’s classic pilot’s chronographs. The black dial provides excellent contrast, with clearly printed scales, highly legible Arabic numerals and well-defined chronograph registers.

The original tritium luminous material on the dial has developed an appealing warm vintage tone. The hour and minute hands have been relumed and consequently display fresher and stronger luminous material than the aged dial markings. This restoration improves nighttime legibility. The remaining hands and dial elements show normal age-related wear.

The stainless-steel case displays light scratches, small marks and general signs of previous use consistent with its age. Its strong, functional profile and angular lugs remain well presented. The rotating black bezel shows surface scratches, small marks and localised wear to its finish, while the luminous triangle at twelve has developed an aged appearance.

The original acrylic crystal has been polished and provides a clear view of the dial. Some fine residual marks, light polishing traces and reflections may remain visible under close inspection or at certain angles.

The screw-down crown is present and operates correctly. The stainless-steel case back shows scratches and normal wear, while its Sinn branding, serial number and technical inscriptions remain clearly legible.

The fitted black rubber strap features a distinctive tyre-tread pattern. The strap cannot be confirmed as original to the watch or as a Sinn-manufactured component, but it is fitted with a signed Sinn pin buckle.

The ETA/Valjoux 7760 movement has been fully serviced and all functions are all operating correctly. A 3-month guarantee is provided on functionality.

I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding.

The watch has been completely serviced by a professional watchmaker and tested for full functionality. The water resistance of the watch cannot be guaranteed.
