"High Frequency" arises from the concept of frequency, a term that in physics indicates the number of oscillations or cycles that repeat in a given time interval. In everyday language, however, the word also takes on a different meaning: we talk about frequencies to describe moods, energy levels, and that particular harmony we sometimes perceive with people, places, or situations.
In the painting, the female figure seems to be traversed by a movement that goes beyond the body. The hair, the shades and the brushstrokes that disperse into space suggest a continuous vibration, almost an energy that expands beyond the figure’s boundaries. The posture and the expression on the face, instead, convey a sense of abandonment and freedom, creating a contrast between inner calm and the dynamism of the composition.
