Work on paper (55.8 x 76.2 cm) sold framed in a black wooden frame of a baroque type, ready to hang.
Dimensions with frame: 72 x 92 cm, depth 3 cm.
Let yourself be seduced by the colorful and iconic universe of Mr. Brainwash with St. Tropez Is Beautiful, a work that captures all the elegance, energy and glamour of the French Riviera. Between pop art and contemporary culture, this creation adds a sunny and bold touch to your interior.
A strong piece for collectors and contemporary art lovers seeking a work that is immediately recognizable.
The street art aesthetic takes hold here of an iconic cinema figure. Charlie Chaplin stands upright, unperturbed, in front of a bare wall. The contrast is striking between the black-and-white portrait and the brightness of the blue.
The background, composed of newspaper fragments and colored papers, anchors the scene in a city reality.
The text handwritten with spray paint immediately draws the eye. The letters run down the wall, bringing a spontaneous movement to the composition. This writing emphasizes an optimistic and laid-back view of existence.
The work plays on the contrast between the nostalgia of silent cinema and the energy of contemporary pop art. The detail of the spray held by the character ties the subject to the act of creation.
The artist Mr. Brainwash, also known as Thierry Guetta, is influenced by the work of many artists, including Charlie Chaplin. Mr. Brainwash is famous for his urban pop artistic style, which combines elements of street art, pop art and contemporary art. He often uses popular icons and cultural symbols to create visually striking and provocative works.
Mr. Brainwash's works are smart investments, see article:
