Description from the seller

“The Paleohunters Go Hunting” Freeon #22
In this 90 x 130 cm work, conceived for a 3D frame of 80 x 120 x 3.5 cm in, I enter my neorupestrian universe with an ironic and lively gaze. Here, the Paleohunters are not epic heroes but clumsy, almost childlike characters, advancing with ingenuous determination toward their hunt. I’m interested in that contrast: the primitive and the contemporary, the ancestral and the playful.
Like Freeon, the alter ego of Onofre Alarcón, I stage the scene with a direct graphic language, almost rupestrian, but spoiled by electric color and neo-expressionist gesture. The figures, disproportionate and vibrant, seem drawn from a invented memory, as if they were echoes of a past that never existed. The animals, tranquil, observe more than flee, reinforcing that quiet humor.
I paint with freedom, not seeking perfection, letting the stroke breathe and the error dialog with me. This work is not about hunting, but about looking at who we were… or who we still are.

Freeon (O.A.)

I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, who develops a personal language within neo-expressionism rooted in rupestrian origins. My work arises from absolute creative freedom and a visceral need for expression.
I work from intuition and the energy of the moment, in an environment where chill-out music helps me enter a nearly ritual state. From there emerge my new figures: symbolic beings, primitive and contemporary at the same time, that seem to come from an ancient civilization but speak from the present.
Rupestrian art is not, for me, an aesthetic reference, but an active memory. Its essential strokes, its graphic power and its symbolic character transform into a renewed language, charged with emotion, color, and expressionist tension. I create figures that reinterpret the primitive from a current perspective, building a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic.
I am in constant evolution, exploring techniques, materials, and narratives that expand my visual universe. Each work is an inner excavation and, at the same time, an invention: new characters, new symbols, and new mythologies that broaden my creative world.
