Description from the seller
"Today we eat meat" #36 – Freeon's Paleohunter Collection, where primitive instinct emerges through a neo-expressionist and neorupestrian narrative. Totemic figures, hunters and ancestral symbols build a scene of ritual tension, in which black and white dialog with flashes of fluor pink. A contemporary reinterpretation of Paleolithic hunting, visceral and symbolic, where surviving means mastering territory and conquering food. Acrylic on canvas, 110 × 160 cm, ideal for a frame 100 × 150 × 3.5 cm.
Freeon (O.A.)
I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, who develops a language of my own within rupestrian-rooted neo-expressionism. My work arises from absolute creative freedom and a visceral need for expression.
I work from intuition and the energy of the moment, in an environment where chill-out music helps me enter a nearly ritual state. From there emerge my new figures: symbolic, primal and contemporary at once, that seem to originate from an ancient civilization but speak from the present.
Rupestrian art is not for me a stylistic reference, but an active memory. Its essential strokes, its graphic power and its symbolic character transform into a renewed language, charged with emotion, color and expressionist tension. I create figures that reinterpret the primitive from a contemporary perspective, building a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic.
I am in constant evolution, exploring techniques, materials and narratives that widen my visual universe. Each work is an inner excavation and, at the same time, an invention: new characters, new symbols and new mythologies that expand my creative world.
