Young artist exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in September 2025 on the occasion of the Day of French Young Creation, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle is a French expressionist artist born in 1982. Drawing, painting, collage, performance are the languages he explores with strength and spontaneity.

This work is a large collage on raw canvas, made with a mixed-media set of techniques including drawing on paper, oil pastels, acrylic painting, charcoal and ink. The overall piece comes across as very “raw,” “skinned,” and “sensitive,” qualities inherent to German figurative Expressionism, a movement in which the artist fully identifies.

The work is stretched on its frame and is ready to be hung on a wall.
