2018 Vega Sicilia, Valbuena 5º - Ribera del Duero - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

Valbuena is the purest expression of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) at Vega Sicilia. The Tinto Fino is fully expressed here with a small share of Merlot, depending on the vintage.
The Valbuena Tempranillo is obtained from plots located on gentle concave slopes that descend from the rugged continental landscape. The soils are partly alluvial on the lower slopes and rich in limestone.
Valbuena gives us a sense of the grandeur of this 'terroir' with every vintage. Production remains unchanged, and the wine reflects each year the growth cycle that the vines underwent.
