This A. Rosskopf & Co watch dates from the 1930s and has a manual-winding Roskopf movement, a metal case engraved with the Barcelona 1929 and Liège 1930 exhibition motifs, and its original paper protective label.
Description from the seller
Watch in splendid aesthetic and mechanical condition, dating from the 1930s and assembled by La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland). The standout feature of this watch is the presence of the rare original vintage protective paper tag. An elusive element almost impossible to find preserved together with the watch after nearly a century.
Manual-wind mechanical movement with a patented Roskopf system.
The watch runs perfectly, keeps regular time, and keeps time.
The dial is white ceramic with clearly legible Arabic numerals, minute track, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Blued and original hands.
The case is made of ordinary metal (not silver hallmarked). The back cover is beautifully engraved with the emblems of the Barcelona International Expositions of 1929 and Liege 1930, where the manufacturer won the silver medal, including the period chain and the original author’s protective cardboard from the firm A. Rosskopf & Co.
An item of exceptional collector’s interest, ready to be worn or added to a high-end vintage watch collection.
Tracked shipping and professional packaging.
