Copy No. 141, part of the prestige edition limited to only 250 numbered copies on fine Papier de Hollande paper (numbered from 31 to 280).

Copy in very good condition. The original publisher's wrappers are preserved inside, complete with the front cover, back cover and spine.

The margins still show deckle edges, with the characteristic alternation of gatherings with margins deliberately wider and others with margins narrower, typical of the manual trimming of paper in fine editions not machine-cut.

Elegant and refined contemporary amateur binding in half-leather with corners, boards in marbled paper in matching shade. Spine with five raised bands finely decorated with frames and title impressed in gold. Marbled endpapers, preserved silk bookmark. Top edge gilded.
