AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Large and scenographic oval centerpiece signed Cecconi Orvieto, made of glazed ceramic and fully hand-decorated.
The wide surface is dominated by an intense solar yellow background, on which develops a rich composition of acanthus leaves, scrolls and stylized botanical motifs, traced in white and underscored by elegant ochre and black profiles. The decoration recalls the Umbrian Renaissance ornamental repertoire and the great ceramic tradition of Orvieto, reinterpreted in a broad and strongly decorative form.
The large central motif creates a precise focal point, while the scrolls arranged along the rim naturally guide the eye toward the center of the plate.
The result is a visually striking object: placed on a table, sideboard, or wall, it immediately commands attention and transforms the surrounding space.
Its substantial dimensions, 45.5 cm in length, make it a true display piece, ideal as a centerpiece, decorative serving plate, or interior decor element for classical, Mediterranean, or country chic interiors.
The base bears the original signature “Cecconi Orvieto”. As per the photo.
