AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Luca Cambiaso (1527-1585) Bottega - Minerva

The drawing reproduces, at a reduced size compared with the original (22 x 14 cm versus 32 x 17 cm of the original), a famous drawing by Luca Cambiaso (see the last photo) now kept in the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe of Palazzo Rosso in Genoa.

It is probably one of the drawings that the apprentices of his workshop (which included names such as Bernardo Castello and Lazzaro Tavarone) produced as a teaching exercise, by copying the master's originals.

The drawing is on laid paper with a watermark I could not decipher. In good condition, slightly dirty but without damp stains, with two of the margins slightly irregular because it was cut from a larger sheet (a common occurrence in an era when paper was expensive).

N.B. Not shipping to non-EU countries.
