Description from the seller
Pair of slender bud vases from the Luxval collection by the Belgian glassmaker Val Saint Lambert, American model created in 1935. These iconic Art Deco pieces are made of molded-pressed glass colored through and through in a transparent, luminous olive green shade, featuring a faceted body that flares toward the top to form a scalloped corolla-shaped neck. The base of each vase rests on a circular pedestal atop a flat hexagonal foot. Regarding the manufacturing marks, one of the two vases bears the Val Saint Lambert Belgique signature molded directly into the mass under its base, while the second model shows no visible signature, which is fully consistent with the manufacturer’s production methods for this series at the time. In terms of dimensions and weight, each vase has a height of 20 cm, a maximum neck diameter of 8.5 cm, and a base width of 8 cm. The individual weight of each piece is 500 g, bringing the total weight of this pair to 1000 g. The overall condition is good and the glass retains its brilliance. Internal inspection reveals slight traces of limescale settled at the bottom of both containers. Additionally, a very small superficial chip is to be noted under the edge of the foot of the second unsigned vase, a minor flaw that is completely invisible when the object is placed stably on a table. Shipping is exclusively reserved for member countries of the continental European Union, and no delivery can be guaranteed to island destinations or overseas territories.
