PAOLO CONTIN has been pursuing a personal, evolving artistic path for more than twenty-five years. Trained in design and active in the fashion world since 1980, he translates into painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is also documented by his inclusion in the Art Mondadori Catalog with corresponding valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in the Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of Tostart, an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the Pandemic period.
An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, far from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the stacking of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: each piece is born from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
