Where the Sky Meets Memories
"Between the warmth of the reds and the depth of the blues, a golden light crosses the horizon, evoking landscapes far away and memories suspended in time. Colors and reflections meet in an atmosphere of quiet and nostalgia where painting becomes emotion"

PAOLO CONTIN has developed a personal artistic path for over twenty-five years and in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers to painting a special sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works and in 2002 held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.

Paolo Contin's artistic journey is also documented by his presence in the Catalogo dell'Arte Mondadori with related quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major Art Fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the Pandemic period.

A versatile and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, far from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, patches, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement, and emotion.

Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond the boundaries of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without pre-set formulas: each work arises from the intention to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
