Description from the seller
Jesús Manuel Moreno is the ideologue of La Línea Blanca (The White Line), a style followed by other artists worldwide, based on the form of the white background, to which Jesús Manuel attaches great importance, as a “painting of emptiness” in keeping with the Oriental tradition. This series aims to reflect the reality of the contemporary world, in this case, the news that Baroness Carmen Thyssen symbolically chained herself to the trees on Madrid’s Castellana that were going to be uprooted: with her action she managed to prevent it, and this painting is a tribute to her figure as a patron.
Jesús Manuel has held 14 solo exhibitions of La Línea Blanca in Spain and Portugal and about a hundred group exhibitions around the world, being represented in public and private collections across the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and China.
