Description from the seller
- Shipped rolled in a tube, without a frame!!
- Large format 114 x 146 cm
- Unique work with certificate of authenticity
- Original work on linen canvas and without a frame
- Mixed techniques
Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
In the late 1980s, he learned on the streets through an emerging movement at the time, graffiti. He tags his name on the streets, on walls and on trains. Known for his characters and aerosol signatures, he founded the TBS (The Brutal Style) collective with Skepa and a few other dedicated graffiti artists. We know little about him because the artist stays faithful to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to remain anonymous, believing that the artwork should be highlighted and not the person.
Nonexistent on social media, absent from openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except to a few gallery owners in the know. He compares his painting to a piece of Hip Hop, acting like a sampler... samples, cuts, assembles, and thus creates new images.
- Mixed techniques: aerosol, oil pastel and acrylic on canvas
- With certificate of authenticity
