Description from the seller
Putto in Bassano ceramic from the 1950s with Decorated Base
Elegant decorative sculpture in Bassano ceramic, dating to the 1950s, depicting a putto in a sinuous pose, embellished with grape clusters and finely modeled botanical motifs.
The figure features a delicate-expression face, meticulously defined curly hair, and refined anatomical workmanship. The putto is depicted in motion, with one leg slightly raised and the arms engaged in supporting a composition of fruits and leaves.
The surface is characterized by a glossy ivory glaze, which enhances the plastic details and gives the work an elegant and luminous appearance.
The sculpture rests on a complex base, composed of a central square element and an important ornamental base decorated with volutes, scrolls and relief botanical motifs, which emphasize its scenographic character.
The slender proportions, the richness of detail, and the ornamental taste typical of Italian ceramic production in the twentieth century make this piece particularly decorative.
An object with great presence, ideal for reception hall entrances, salons, classical environments or prestigious interiors.

Height: 140 cm
