Giusy Curto Pelle presents Materic, an original contemporary acrylic painting on canvas sized 50 by 50 cm, signed by hand, from Italy, dating to 2010–2020 with the current year 2026, featuring beige, gold and green tones and sold directly by the artist in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The surface of the works is a true architecture of materials. Plaster, acrylic, and natural pigments fuse into a thick, textured mass, creating a tactile orography.
The beating heart of the work is the insertion of the color gold, which shines and breaks into luminous fragments. Gold is not mere decoration, but a structural element that interacts with the ambient light, creating a play of reflections and shadows that transforms the surface of the canvases into a dynamic, ever-evolving visual experience.
Giusy Curto Pelle is a young entrepreneur. She practices her main profession in the artistic field, being a doctor in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, but she has always nurtured a deep interest in exploring her own artistic and expressive form.
She began her training by enrolling at the Filippo Juvara Art Institute of San Cataldo, choosing the experimental path in Cataloging and Relief of Cultural Heritage. After obtaining her diploma, she decided to continue her studies by enrolling at the University of Palermo, at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, following the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage program.
The love for the artistic world from a creative perspective, from which she had distanced herself for several years, has now brought her back to approach this sector again. Her current artistic research is directed toward the right balance between tradition and innovation in search of her own artistic language.
In her works you can see the presence of traditional techniques, materials, and subjects elaborated in a modern key with a contemporary style and language.
Her research and study of materials continually lead her to perform numerous experiments. We can see the use of flat or shaded colors that intersect with passages of tactile painting, which she uses to create marks on the canvas almost as if forging a new texture in relief, often highlighted by the use of metallic sheets.
The canvas will be shipped with its frame and carefully packaged for safe transport.
They will be accompanied by an authenticity certificate.
Overall dimensions: 50x50 cm each
Signed on the back.
If there are any color differences, they could be due to variations in the sensors of the different devices used to view the image.
