Atmospheric and particularly decorative seascape by French painter Camille Rousseau (1949), executed in oil on wooden panel.
The painting shows a lively scene on the beach of Hardelot-Plage, the well-known French seaside resort on the Opal Coast. Scattered across the wide sandy beach, elegantly dressed beachgoers enjoy a day by the sea. Ladies in long dresses and hats sit together under parasols, while other figures walk along the shoreline. In the distance, a few sailing boats are visible.
