Battlezone for the Atari 2600, published by Atari in 1983, in good condition and without original packaging.
Description from the seller
Battlezone for the Atari 2600 (released by Atari in 1983) is a home conversion of the famous arcade game of 1980 with the same name.
Key features of the game
• Gameplay: It is a first-person shooter in a three-dimensional environment. The player pilots a tank with the objective of destroying enemy vehicles (tanks, missiles, and aircraft/UFOs) while avoiding being hit yourself.
• Differences from the Arcade version:
• The arcade version used vector graphics (lines on a black background with colored overlays), while the Atari 2600 did not support vectors and had to adapt the game with raster/bitmap graphics.
• The player's tank appears fairly large in the foreground on the screen.
• There are elements such as a small radar at the top of the screen to spot approaching enemies (essential to avoid getting caught from behind) and a life indicator at the bottom.
• Enemies and challenge: Enemies include tanks (often blue) and aircraft such as UFOs or fast missiles. The game continues indefinitely with regenerating waves, and the main goal is to accumulate as high a score as possible.
