Juce Gace (1988) - A Wood Awakening Chill-Out

Step into the romantic side of Juce Gace’s universe with this A Wood Awakening “Chill-Out” – First Kiss Edition, a special Valentine’s Day release by the Australian artist Juce Gace and Mighty Jaxx. Part of the cult “A Wood Awakening” series, which reimagines Pinocchio with a cheeky, adults-only twist, this edition catches him in a laid-back seated “Chill-Out” pose, freshly out of a first date and clearly a little flustered. The result is a playful, love-themed art toy that pairs the series’ signature humour with an unexpectedly sweet colourway.

The figure is dressed in soft pastel pink pyjamas covered in red hearts, with matching red shorts trimmed with a heart pattern, a striped pink nightcap, and red bangles on both wrists. A face mask covers his famous nose, and the details tell the story: blushing cheeks, wide heart-shaped eyes, and a bright red lipstick kiss mark planted on the side of the mask. Carved wooden-textured arms and legs, oversized pink slippers, and a cheeky nod to the series’ running joke complete the look. Leaning back on his hands with his legs stretched out, he makes a perfect relaxed shelf piece, and looks great from every angle.

This is an official Mighty Jaxx release and comes with its original illustrated “Chill-Out – First Kiss Edition” box, along with the Mighty Jaxx Certificate of Authenticity and care card. The figure has been displayed indoors, handled with care, and shows no chips, scratches or paint defects. The box is in very good condition, with only a small crease on one top corner. A lovely addition for any Juce Gace or Mighty Jaxx collector, and a great Valentine’s piece for anyone who appreciates art with a sense of humour.
