PAOLO CONTIN has been developing, for over twenty-five years, a personal artistic path in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers into painting a particular sensitivity for color, form and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.

The artistic journey of Paolo Contin is also documented by his presence in the Arte Mondadori Catalog with corresponding valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and books produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active up to the Pandemic period.

An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built, over the years, a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His search traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, color fields, geometric shapes and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement and emotion.

Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the stacking of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the boundaries of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: every work arises from the will to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
