Alessandro Padovan's (NO RESERVE) MUHAMMAD ALÌ' (LUCE LED COB 4000K) is a 51 × 51 cm mixed-media portrait on a synthetic glass slab with microperforations and 4000 K LED COB perimeter illumination, in a limited edition of 10 pieces and sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Luminous Portrait
Technique: Synthetic glass slab with microperforations and COB LED illumination
Dimensions: 51 × 51 cm
Illumination: COB LED 4000 K – neutral white light
Work in a series of 10 pieces
This work arises from the encounter between contemporary art, material research and luminous technology. The portrait takes shape through a dense network of small holes made on a synthetic glass slab, which, thanks to their arrangement and density, create the different tones of white, yielding depth, details and expressive intensity to the face.
The surface, seemingly essential, transforms into a three-dimensional composition in which every single point contributes to building the image. The contrast between the black background and the brightness of the microholes generates a refined visual effect, capable of changing perception depending on the angle and lighting conditions.
The 4000 K perimeter COB LED lighting, with neutral white light, enhances the drawing and creates a luminous halo that frames the portrait, emphasizing its contemporary character and minimalist aesthetics. The light becomes an integral part of the work, highlighting the dialogue between solids and voids, matter and transparency, shadow and brightness.
With its 51 × 51 cm dimensions and its essential structure, the work presents itself as a strong visual artistic element, balancing portrait, luminous installation and technical experimentation.
An artwork that transforms a simple set of microperforations into an image rich in character, where the light does not simply illuminate the subject, but helps define its artistic identity.
