19e eeuwse Documentenkist / Geldkist - Chest - Steel

Handmade steel document box / money box.
The box comes from France and has probably been taken from the Middle East at some point; this is evident from the surrounding decorations.
Probably made around 1850, possibly a little earlier.
It is secured by a handmade steel nail.
The box can still be used to securely store money or documents, or simply put on display as a showpiece and to add a touch of the 19th century to your interior.

This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packed, sent by registered mail and insured (with Track & Trace code so you can track the shipment). Pickup in (Ridderkerk- Zuid Holland) is also possible. I have delicious hand-ground coffee.
