Gien Brouwer (1946-2022) - Overvliegende eenden in de avondglore

Gien Brouwer was born on March 23, 1944, in Waddinxveen. He graduated from the art academy in Rotterdam and then trained in painting under Hermanus Jozef Wijngaard.

Brouwer mainly favors Dutch landscapes, executed in oil on canvas. His technique combines realism with impressionism; as a result, the viewer feels immediately in the Dutch countryside and can almost sense and smell the damp, fresh Dutch air, and perceive the soft pastel tones of nature.
