Description from the seller
IT IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
In this vertical format, Medsan places Spike Spiegel, the bounty hunter from Cowboy Bebop, in front of a seaside jazz bar at sunset. Backed by a turquoise Chevrolet Impala convertible, hands in the pockets of his midnight-blue suit, yellow shirt and dark tie, a cigarette at his lips, he turns his head toward the horizon with his windswept green hair. Behind him, a vertical sign glows red neon 宇宙 above an orange awning. On the white wall, one reads JAZZ BAR and A BETTER TOMORROW. In the lit display window, the silhouette of a trumpeter plays in front of a BLUE NOTE LIFE poster.
On the other side of the white barrier, a large orange sun sinks into the bay between palm trees. It bronzes the water above a coastal city and port cranes marked PORT TOMORROW. The sky is a deep blue, the turquoise bodywork, the sunset orange: the scene carries the slow pace of a day’s end without a mission.
A cinematic and soothing piece, ideal for adding a touch of jazz nostalgia to a collector’s anime interior.

Under the name Medsan, he explores medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by mixing pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe. He creates at the Atelier Joconde, a family of artists’ workshop, alongside Le Yack (figurative painting) and Neo Pablo (abstraction).
