MEDSAN - Speed Racer at Fuji Speedway (マッハゴーゴーゴー) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1

On this square format, Medsan places Speed Racer, the hero of Mach GoGoGo, at the wheel of the Mach 5 in the pit lane of Fuji Circuit. Side profile stopped, the white car marked with a large red M just emerges from the garage. The driver wears a white helmet with the M, a red scarf catching the wind, a blue shirt and yellow gloves. He turns his head toward us with a slight smile. Behind him, the “RACING TEAM” garage number 5 reveals a red servant where a helmet rests, under the team’s M emblem, while a red sign bears in white the kanji 速, speed.
In the background, snowy Mount Fuji rises before a huge yellow sun and overlooks a city perched by the water. On the right, Fuji Speedway’s empty grandstands line the track, flanked by Bridgestone, NGK, Toshiba and Shell signs, and four palm trees silhouette against a deep blue sky. It’s the noonday calm, just before the race.

A bright piece full of momentum, ideal for bringing a touch of automotive nostalgia and Japanese flair to a collector’s interior passionate about speed.

About Medsan / Popsan:
Medsan and Popsan are two signatures of a single artist. Under the name Medsan, he explores the world of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe. He creates at the Atelier Joconde, a family of artists, alongside Le Yack (figurative painting) and Neo Pablo (abstraction).
