MEDSAN - Back to the Future DeLorean (時を越えるデロリアン) - UNIQUE WORK

There is Only One in the World - Edition 1/1

On this vertical format, Medsan makes the DeLorean from Back to the Future pass over a Japanese mountain trail at sunset, as the sun sinks behind Mount Fuji. The light-gray car cuts across the upper sky, headlights on and the DMC logo on the grille, two trails of electric blue light in its wake. On the dirt path lined with a wooden railing, an Indigo kimono traveler has stopped. He leans on his staff, his straw hat on his back and his hair tied in a bun, and raises his head to the apparition. Behind him, a temple with lit windows clings to the cliff among the pines. Down below, the mist slides over a lake reflecting the sun, around a village with warm lights and a red torii standing in the water. The sky shifts from orange to slate blue.

In the upper right, a red cartouche bears 時を越える車 next to the cartouche メドサン; in the lower left, another red cartouche bears 貴重な. A quiet evening where the future crosses the sky of another century.

A cinephile and peaceful piece, ideal for adding a touch of pop culture and Japan to the interior of a sci‑fi collector.

About Medsan / Popsan:
Medsan and Popsan are two signatures of the same artist. Under the name Medsan, he explores the world of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe. He creates at the Atelier Joconde, a family of artists’ workshop, alongside Le Yack (figurative painting) and Neo Pablo (abstraction).
