LASVEGUIX

French contemporary artist Lasveguix develops a singular universe at the crossroads of street art, collage and contemporary painting. His work questions the memory of walls, the passage of time and the poetry of the ephemeral, transforming urban scars into emotionally charged pieces.

Introduced to graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, he crafts his visual language through contact with the walls of Paris and London. His work sits within an artistic lineage where the great names of urban and contemporary art converse. It bears the legacy of Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains in the art of torn posters, the sculptural power of Vhils, the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, the silhouettes of Jérôme Mesnager, the poetry of Miss Tic, the urban memory of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the stencil of Jef Aérosol, the pixel universe of Invader and the iconic force of Shepard Fairey. While never imitating them, Lasveguix asserts a personal, immediately recognizable handwriting.

Torn posters, spray paint, acrylic, Posca and reliefs compose true "wall skins," where tears, overlays and traces of time become witnesses to a collective memory. Each work reveals a dialogue between material, history and emotion, inviting the viewer to rediscover the beauty of what the city seemed to have forgotten.

Lasveguix regularly exhibits in France and internationally. His works join private collections in many countries and reflect growing interest from collectors. His career leads him to participate in art fairs, prestigious exhibitions and charity galas bringing together collectors, patrons and institutions. His work has notably been showcased at events organized at Roland-Garros, the District 13 Art Fair at Hôtel Drouot, in Monaco and at several emblematic venues on the contemporary art scene.

Through each of his creations, Lasveguix gives a second life to the city’s remnants. He does not depict the walls; he reveals their soul, letting urban heritage, memory and creation dialogue in a work that is deeply contemporary and timeless.
