MANSUÉTUDE arises from the artist's personal concern about property ownership and the pressure to succeed in a society in which he does not feel supported.
Building one's own house and its own world out of cardboard becomes a symbolic gesture: giving a tangible form to a space one cannot yet afford, but that one can imagine and create.
