Scuola di Posillipo (XIX) - Paesaggio Napoletano

*Scuola di Posillipo - XIX sec*

A sunset over the Gulf of Naples.

To the left a large, dark rock. In the middle, atop a rock, two people: a man standing and a woman seated with a red bonnet, looking out to the sea.

Behind there is the azure gulf, a small turret on the coast and in the distance an island, like Capri.

It is painted in oil on cardboard.

Unfortunately it has been damaged; the paper has detached at three corners and the cardboard is visible underneath. Therefore it needs restoration.
