Description from the seller
Indo Sarough carpets – Elegance meets craftsmanship
Indo Sarough carpets are hand-knotted carpets from India, stylistically inspired by the classic Sarough carpets. The term “Indo” stands for India as the country of manufacture, while “Sarough” refers to the famous carpet-weaving region in the Orient.
Material & Manufacture
Material: Usually high-quality, hand-spun wool – often knotted on a cotton warp.
Knitting: Hand-knotted with a high knot density (typically 160,000 to over 350,000 knots per m²).
Dyeing: Plant-based and synthetic dyes, often vivid but warm in tone.
Design & Style
Traditional Sarough patterns: medallion designs, floral ornaments, arabesques.
Usually symmetrical, with richly decorative borders.
Color palette: dark red, blue, beige, ivory, sometimes gold or green tones.
Advantages of an Indo Sarough carpet
High-quality craftsmanship at fairer prices.
Timeless design that suits both classic and modern interiors.
Durable and often more robust than machine-made carpets.
Herkunftsland: Indo Teppich
Material: Wool on cotton
Zustand: sehr gut
Alter: ca. 0-5 Jahre Neuwertig
