Description from the seller
Traditional rustic Christmas decorations lot – 1980s/1990s (No. 15 objects in total)
Up for auction is a splendid and heterogeneous lot consisting of 15 vintage Christmas items dating from the 1980s and 1990s, perfect for collectors and for anyone wanting to recreate at home the warm and authentic festive atmosphere of the late 20th century. The set stands out with the classic Christmas colors: festive red, forest green, bright gold, and touches of silver.
- Set of 7 glossy red balls, entirely decorated with stickers of gold stars.
- Two strands of glossy metallized red beads, ideal for wrapping around the Christmas tree or decorating shelves.
- A decorative bell tower composed of three glossy gold metal bells tied with intertwined gold cords, topped with a red velvet bow with gold edges.
- A rich hanging decorative sphere composed of artificial pine needles, holly leaves, natural pine cones, glittered red berries, small gift packages, and Christmas stars, complete with a red satin ribbon.
- A circular garland in imitation fir, enriched with gold elements, pine cones, Poinsettia leaves in glittered gold fabric; can be used as a centerpiece with a candle holder or hung on the wall.
- Period-style star-comet decoration with a silver tinsel garland and its original circuit with incandescent colored bulbs and a green cord. Note: one of the lights is blown and needs replacement to restore full lighting of the set.
- Rustic artisanal wooden nativity scene structure with natural bark, featuring fake moss on the roof and base, complete with a small artificial fir on the left side.
- Characteristic decorative sled made of woven wicker and rope, containing a rich arrangement of pine needles, holly leaves, snow-dusted pine cones with glitter, and bunches of glossy red berries.
The items are in generally good aesthetic condition, with the normal charming signs of age and use typical of vintage Christmas elements that were stored away year after year. As noted above, the star-comet requires replacement of a single bulb to operate fully. The attached photos are an integral part of the description.
Seller's Story
For over 20 years, I have dedicated myself passionately to the search for and trading of special, rare, curious objects from any era.
Every piece I select has something that catches my attention: it can be the shape, the story, the unusual aspect, or simply that detail that makes it unique.
I am always searching for objects that speak, that tell something to those who know how to listen.
I choose them carefully, photograph them honestly, and describe them as accurately as possible.
Selling on this Catawiki to share this passion with those who, like me, love to surround themselves with things with a soul.
