Copper-engraved portrait of Tasso in a roundel on the title page, copper-engraved header with the arms of the dedicatee Anna Malaspina, on the third unnumbered page at the recto. Indeed, the paper of this copy is particularly velvety and white. This is one of the finest editions of Bodoni; the paper is strong, shows no foxing, and is highly sought after by collectors.
There are 3 ex libraries (ex libris) of previous owners of the work. Additionally, there exist 3 sets of 3 complete stamps of the Bandiera Brothers, issued by the RSI in 1944 (easily detachables).
At the end of the volume there are two commemorative envelopes from the Hong Kong Post Office in 1963 (Red Cross) and 1967, the Year of the Sheep (easily detachable).
This is a highly sought-after volume with a long history. The quality of the paper has kept it in good condition.
