Description from the seller
Artistic tapestry “La Promessa” – Print on regenerated leather
Decorative tapestry made on fabric canvas, with high-definition artistic print inspired by Masonic tradition, initiatory rite and esoteric imagery.
The composition depicts a scene of intense symbolic solemnity: a kneeling figure, gathered in a posture of oath or meditation, with one hand on the chest and the other on an open book placed on an altar. Next to the book, the bright light of a candle illuminates the scene and reinforces the sense of contemplation. In the background a raised temple opens up, accessible by a central staircase, while above appear the sun, the moon and the Eye in the triangle.
The warm tone of the tapestry, played out in an elegant sepia-gold effect, gives the work an antique, solemn and archival appearance, like a ritual board kept over time. This chromatic choice enhances the scene’s gathered atmosphere and increases its decorative charm, providing depth, harmony and strong visual coherence to the whole.
The print is particularly meticulous and faithfully reproduces every detail of the composition: the folds of the garment, the book’s details, the architectural volumes, the chiaroscuro of the temple, the candle flame and the celestial symbols are sharp and well defined. The visual rendering is rich, intense and impactful, capable of enhancing both the design and the symbolic value of the work.
The fabric-based support further enhances the tapestry, giving it a material, solid and refined presence. The visible weave of the fabric harmoniously dialogues with the print and enhances its artistic character, giving the work an authentic and sought-after look.
At the bottom right there is a red wax seal with an ownership symbol, a distinctive detail that adds personality to the piece and evokes authenticity, custody and tradition.
Thoughtful for studies, libraries, formal settings, private spaces or thematic collections, this tapestry unites decoration, material quality and symbolism in an elegant, cultivated and deeply evocative form.
