Description from the seller
Antique Austro-Hungarian silver necklace with turquoise, pearl and pink stone.
Silver choker with 8 strands of jasseron chain, attached to a rectangular clasp plated with rose gold, richly decorated with filigree, turquoise and pink stones, handmade.
A refined piece of fine jewelry, it is a high-quality choker with very specific features:
* Main Structure: Composed of 8 strands of jasseron-type chain in silver. The jasseron chain (also known as serpentine mesh or rolo chain) is a classic, timeless jewelry model.
Key Features
* Links: It is made up of small circular or oval links, usually uniform, slightly concave or rounded (with volume), interwoven in a loose and flexible way.
* Drape/Feel: It has a soft, fluid touch, reminiscent of a fine rope or a simple-link chain, but with greater visual prominence due to the rounded shape of the links.
* Versatility: It can be worn alone as a minimalist piece or paired with pendants, medals and charms.
* Distinct Clasp: A molded rectangular clasp, rose-gold plated, richly decorated with filigree, turquoise and pink stones.
This lovely piece can be worn as a necklace or wrapped twice around the wrist to form a super stylish bracelet.
The piece bears a contrast mark number 13. This refers to the German/Austrian silver system (Loth) and means that it is made of fine silver 813/1000.
The simple use of the number 13 was common for several cities that were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire between the 1830s and 1850s, before the entire country adopted the marks with the Diana head.
Length: 33 cm.
Approximate weight: 67 grams.
In very good condition.
Tracked shipping.
Note: customs duties and import taxes for the respective countries, as well as any delivery charges, are the buyer’s responsibility.
Due to customs and tax rules, it is currently not possible to ship to the USA.
