Description from the seller
※The binding threads are loose in some areas due to age. Please refer to the photographs for details.
A complete three-volume set of “Koshi Inpan” (古詩韻範), a Japanese work devoted to classical Chinese poetry, compiled by Takemoto Tōtōan (武元登々庵).
This edition was published in Tokyo by Matsuda Bunshodo (松田文書堂) during the Meiji period. The set consists of all three volumes: Upper (上), Middle (中), and Lower (下).
The books are produced in traditional Japanese watoji thread-bound format, with blue paper covers and printed title slips. The interiors contain classical text together with decorative illustrations printed in red and other traditional typographic elements, making the set visually attractive as well as historically interesting.
The books show signs of age and use, including wear and fading to the covers, stains, discoloration and foxing, worn edges, and deterioration or loosening of some binding threads. Please examine the photographs carefully for the exact condition.
