Trek 2300 Composite - Racing / Gravel Bike from the Classic Era in Carbon Fiber and Aluminum Campagnolo
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In the auction, an iconic vintage Trek 2300 Composite racing bicycle, a historical model born from prestigious American engineering. The frame features a pioneering mixed construction characterized by the three visible carbon main tubes joined by joints, front suspension fork and rear triangle in aluminum finished in an elegant metallic blue/purple color, enriched by the Trek 2300 logos and the Composite inscription on the tubes.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS
The bicycle is equipped with a full Campagnolo vintage group. The transmission includes Campagnolo rear derailleur, Campagnolo front derailleur, Campagnolo double-chainring crankset, and Campagnolo Ergopower integrated brake/shift levers on the handlebar. The braking system is based on Campagnolo side-pull brake calipers. The cockpit features a classic aluminum handlebar clamp with a race drop wrapped in coordinated blue bar tape. The saddle is an ergonomic Fizik Aliante in blue mounted on an aluminum seatpost. Completing the setup are two bottle cages mounted on the frame and road wheels with aluminum rims paired with clincher tires.
