AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Set of 2 old antique Jambati sound bowls
Origin Tibet/Nepal
Age about early 1950s, possibly older.
The sound is phenomenal, clear with deep tones as befits a Jambati bowl. It has a beautiful patina that suits the age and condition. Well-used bowls that are in top condition.

Diameter is about
1) 14.5 cm and height 7 cm
Tone E 290 Hz with sustain upward
2) 13 cm and height 6.8 cm
Tone G 385 Hz with sustain upward
Total weight is about 1025 g.

Jambati
The thick wall is slightly curved and tall, the bottom is small and flat. The sound is impressive and lasts a long time!

Old Jambati bowls are often recognizable by many fine hammer marks, which naturally can fade a bit with wear. The antique bowls are often hundreds of years old. Very rarely I find one with an inscription. The old bowls come in different variants in terms of shape, color and hammering. It seems that these bowls by use and time have gained an extra tonal dimension, just like good wine that matures in the right barrel with the passage of time.

This sound bowl is pure, original and authentic material.
With very beautiful patina! Depending on the metals used!

Complete with suitable professional mallets.
