Description from the seller
Foresti Vintage - Vintage Aluminum/Carbon Racing Bicycle by Campagnolo
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Up for auction is a sporty and fascinating vintage racing bicycle signed Foresti, featuring a refined mixed construction with an aluminum tube frame finished in a vibrant glossy red color, paired with a visible carbon front fork. The frame is embellished with Foresti lettering and logos in yellow along the main tubes and rear stays.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND VISIBLE COMPONENTS
The bicycle is equipped with a prestigious vintage Campagnolo mechanical group. The transmission includes a Campagnolo rear derailleur, front derailleur, shift levers, and a lightweight, cut-out Campagnolo double chainring. The braking system is entrusted to Campagnolo Athena side-pull brakes with the corresponding levers on the handlebars. The cockpit features a handlebar stem in aluminum branded Deda / ITM Handwork with a race bend wrapped in black tape. The saddle is a sporty profiled model mounted on an aluminum seatpost. Completing the specification are a bottle cage mounted on the frame and road wheels with mid-profile aluminum rims finished in blue and clincher tires.
CONDITION AND RECOMMENDED WORKS
As an old bicycle that has been stationary for some time, the overall structure is solid and appealing, but it will require a quick general service, lubrication, and a check of fasteners and cables before being ridden on the road. Aesthetic-wise it shows a classic vintage patina with normal light signs of wear due to time and use, including a few small scratches or signs of paint wear on the red frame, especially around the top tube and rear stays. The black handlebar tape shows surface wear and, while usable, it might be advisable to replace it to refresh the aesthetics of the handlebars. Overall a superb, characterful sporting exemplar.
SHIPPING AND PACKAGING NOTES
The lot will be packed with extreme care and shipped via tracked and insured courier service. Note that, to ensure safer shipping and to reduce package volume, some parts may be removed, such as pedals, saddle, wheels, and the handlebar may be rotated.
